Our client is a leading international architecture firm seeking an experienced Healthcare Architect / Medical Planner to join their Singapore team. This position focuses on the design and planning of healthcare facilities, contributing to projects that enhance patient-centered environments through innovative and evidence-based architectural solutions.
This role is ideal for architects with strong healthcare expertise who want to take on more responsibility across the full project lifecycle from conceptual design to construction while collaborating closely with multi-disciplinary teams. As a Healthcare Architect / Medical Planner, you will work alongside senior planners, architects, and project managers to develop thoughtful design solutions that meet regulatory, operational, and clinical requirements. You will play a key role in client engagement, design coordination, and ensuring project delivery aligns with quality, budget, and schedule goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead architectural design and planning for healthcare and medical projects, including floor plans, interior elevations, ceiling plans, and clinical equipment layouts
• Participate actively in conceptual and design development phases, translating client operational models into functional, compliant spaces
• Ensure compliance with healthcare codes, hospital licensing standards, and evidence-based design principles
• Coordinate and produce design documentation and construction drawings that adhere to internal quality standards
• Facilitate collaborative discussions with clinical users and stakeholders to generate practical, patient-focused solutions
• Support interdisciplinary team coordination and contribute to project meetings, providing guidance to junior staff where appropriate
• Serve as a client contact during design phases, fostering strong relationships and supporting business development initiatives
• Promote a culture of innovation, quality, sustainability, and continuous learning within the project teams
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource utilization to ensure successful and timely delivery
Required Experience:
Accredited professional degree in Architecture or a related field; architectural registration strongly preferred
• 2 to 10 years’ experience specializing in healthcare design and medical planning
• In-depth knowledge of patient safety, healthcare regulations, and evidence-based design methodologies
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and preferred skills in 3D modeling tools such as Rhino or Grasshopper
• Strong competency in MS Office and integrated sustainable design standards
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Experience liaising with clients and managing complex project requirements
