INTERIOR DESIGNER, LONDON

private residential developer
SALARY: £45,000-£55,000

We’re working with a private residential developer to find a talented interior designer to join their in-house team working on high-end residential developments.

JOB SUMMARY:

We’re working with a private residential developer to find a talented interior designer to join their in-house team working on high-end residential developments. This is a rare client-side opportunity for a mid-weight or senior interior designer looking to take ownership of projects from concept to completion.

This role involves designing and delivering exceptional interiors for luxury residential apartments aimed at high-net-worth individuals. You’ll work closely with the client, external consultants, and suppliers to lead the interior design process, from initial concept through to final installation. With a strong pipeline of upcoming developments, the studio is looking for someone with a minimalist and distinctive design style who can confidently guide and steer HNWIs through the design process.

You’ll be given autonomy and the responsibility to manage multiple high-specification projects, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards.  As the sole designer, you’ll need to be comfortable with responsibility and able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design development from concept through to detailed design and delivery

  • Prepare and present design concepts, mood boards, and documentation to internal stakeholders

  • Coordinate FF&E specification, procurement, and installation

  • Manage project timelines and budgets across multiple sites

  • Liaise with suppliers, consultants, and contractors throughout all project stages

  • Oversee site delivery and ensure execution matches design intent

  • Maintain an excellent standard of finish and attention to detail throughout

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in high-end residential interior design

  • Confident managing projects independently from start to finish

  • Excellent eye for design, detail, and materiality

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Comfortable working directly with private clients and high-level stakeholders

  • Proficient in industry-standard software (Vectorworks 2D, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office)

  • Knowledge of UK building regs and project coordination best practices

This is an ideal role for a designer ready to move client-side and take full ownership of their work in a collaborative, design-led environment.
