A family office team is looking for an Interior Architect to join its in-house design studio.

JOB SUMMARY:

A family office team is looking for an Interior Project Architect to join its in-house design studio. The role focuses on producing technically accurate, fully coordinated drawings and detailed specifications for bespoke joinery and high-end interior elements across a prestigious hospitality project. 

This will be the first role in the company, starting in a newly formed studio. The role would suit someone who values autonomy, takes responsibility for their own work, and can thrive in a start-up environment with limited hand holding. You’ll work closely with the project director who is also a qualified architect on an £80million construction value scheme.  The role requires attention to detail, a conscientious eye and a logical mind.  

The role involves taking responsibility of stage 3 interior elements, for a significant building in Central London focused on leisure and hospitality. With the concept design already in place, the Interior Architect will drive the project through to completion.

This will be the first role in the company, starting in a newly formed studio. The role would suit someone who values autonomy, takes responsibility for their own work, and can thrive in a start-up environment. You’ll work closely with the project director. 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce technical drawings and detailed documentation. 

  • Draft and detail interior packages including general arrangements, sections, elevations, and technical details. 

  • Attend and contribute to design workshops and coordination meetings. 

  • Identify key decisions and information requirements, ensuring timely resolution. 

  • Manage design revisions and incorporate redlines, maintaining accurate technical records. 

  • Review shop drawings and prototypes, ensuring quality and compliance with design intent. 

  • Prepare and coordinate tender and construction documentation packages. 

  • Support studio infrastructure by developing reusable details, templates, and maintaining digital resources and filing systems. 

Experience:

  • BA Interior Architecture or be a ARB/RIBA registered Architect or experienced Part II 

  • 4-7 years’ experience in interior interior architecture with a technical emphasis. 

  • Strong technical ability in producing detailed construction information using Revit or AutoCAD 

  • Understanding of design and build processes aligned with industry standards and RIBA work stages from stage 3 onwards. 

  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to manage complex information and work collaboratively with consultants and contractors.
