JOB SUMMARY:

This is a newly created opportunity for an associate or director level architect to lead and grow the hospitality sector within an established AJ100 architecture practice, with a clear pathway to Partner.

The role combines business development, client relationship management, design leadership and project delivery, and would suit an architect with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants greater ownership, autonomy while remaining hands-on with design, projects and teams.

Operating for over 30 years, the practice has an established reputation for high-quality architecture, with a predominantly London and UK-based portfolio. Working across architecture, urban design and interior design, the studio has longstanding client relationships, an established hospitality portfolio and a strong foundation from which to grow the sector.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will develop existing and new client relationships, create opportunities, lead hospitality projects from concept through to completion and mentor the existing team.  

This is a strategic, long-term hire for an architect looking at the next 10+ years of their career. It offers the opportunity to focus personal progression, but the careers of those around them and the evolution of the sector. The studio has a strong culture of developing talent from within and is looking for someone who can build on this legacy, grow the hospitality sector and, over time, step into Partnership.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the growth and development of the studios hospitality sector alongside the senior leadership team.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across the hospitality market.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, operators, developers, and consultants.

  • Represent the practice at industry events and networking opportunities.

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of hospitality projects from concept through completion.

  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring quality, programme, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.

  • Support and mentor team members within the studio.

Requirements & Experience:

  • ARB/RIBA qualified architect, with extensive experience delivering luxury hospitality projects.

  • Demonstrable experience in a client facing role, a network of clients, operators, developers, and consultants within the hospitality sector.

  • Track record of winning work (through bids or design) and developing client relationships.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Commercial acumen and experience balancing design quality with business objectives.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects through all stages.

  • An interest in luxury hospitality design and creating incredible guest experiences.
